About the GCSBC

In June of 2004, the Grand Canyon State Bulldogge Club was founded by Terri Smith who has presided the club since inception with the assistance of Jodie Mallory, who has assumed the Vice President leadership office in 2005. The club was formed to unite Arizona Olde English Bulldogge enthusiasts as well as fanciers of the traditional English Bulldog and other alternative bulldogge breeds registered by the International Olde English Bulldogge Association.
The club has several goals including:
-
To promote a better image of the Olde English Bulldogge and other IOEBA registered breeds, their owners and breeders
-
To condemn the use of any breed of dog for any illegal activity, by the club members or non-members
-
To encourage intelligent breeding of the purebred IOEBA registered dogs, accenting their finest qualities such as loyalty, character, courage, health, adaptability, agility, intelligence, and affectionate temperament, and conformation
-
To do all in our power to promote fair conduct toward members and non-members alike at IOEBA sanctioned shows or events
-
To sponsor IOEBA sanctioned shows and other activities that are in the best interest of all IOEBA registered dogs
The Grand Canyon State Bulldogge Club is not simply an organization for the pursuit of these goals, but also a part of the community as a family affair. Each month, all the families meet to socialize their dogges and to connect with others with the same passion for the breed. And the dogges are considered to be an integral part of the families they live with because of all the outstanding qualities they possess.
On a lighter note, monthly meetings are more fun and games than "meetings" per se. We do work on planning the future of the Grand Canyon State Bulldogge Club and are currently enjoying putting together the IOEBA National Event which we are truly honored to be hosting. We are also looking forward to additional conformation events later this winter. We will not be hosting any summer events at this time due to the extreme heat of Arizona summers but will be on the look out for indoor venues for the future.
Generally, we enjoy the casual get-togethers and usually meet at sponsoring member's homes with potlucks, barbecues and ice cream socials! What could be more fun that to eat and play with our dogges and make new friends at the same time! We truly are a happy, extended dogge family.
And we are not strictly a club for Olde English Bulldogges. We are accepting of any IOEBA recognized breed including the English Bulldog.
