Nothing can be more rewarding than being part of an IOEBA Club. Our Club, the Grand Canyon State Bulldogge Club in Arizona was started in 2004 by Terri Smith (Mischief Arizona OEB) and Jodie Mallory (Arrowhead Bulldogges) and we have had a great time making new friends and "family" as well as achieved sanctioning and hosted the 2006 IOEBA Nationals in 2006. This event brought a whole new dimension of excitement to our members Our club has grown in leaps and bounds and we couldn't be happier than to have surrounded ourselves with others with the same devotion to our bully breeds.
We get together on a monthly basis (weather permitting in the extreme heat of the Valley of the Sun) family style and our main interest is to just have fun. All the new "family" we have made has enriched our lives like no other endeavor.
Because of the success of our club and it's ongoing growth and continued viability, our president was selected to be the IOEBA Club Coordinator and is currently in the process of helping many clubs get started across the country and in other countries as well.
If you are interested in starting an IOEBA Club, please contact Terri Smith at mischief-arizona@cox.net or gcsbc@cox.net and she will send you the files to help get you going. Our club also has a membership application package pre-fabbed for our use that we have no problem with sharing with others - you can download that here and edit to suit your club's particular needs:
GCSBC MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
If you have an interest in starting a club to pull together a bulldogge family in your locale, Terri is eager to work with you. (Note: Don't finalize any documents by filing with your city/state until the names/officers are approved by the IOEBA - Each potential board member for your club must also fill out an application prior to approval. (These are included in the documents that are sent via email on request). When all documents are finalized and approved, the Club Coordinator will forward the completed package to the IOEBA. Clubs must be geographically feasible and follow the Constitution and Bylaws adopted by the club (must be approved by the IOEBA if major changes are made from the sample Bylaws) as well as the IOEBA Breeder code of ethics for members that do breed. Membership, including board positions do not need to be limited to breeders. Any person with an interest in the breeds recognized by the IOEBA can participate! (The Grand Canyon State Bulldogge club also has an interest in becoming UCA Sanctioned as well to broaden it's membership base to include other canine enthusiasts to share the good cheer to more families that have dedication to breeds outside of the IOEBA recognized rare breeds!)
